Meet The Author

What do you imagine when you think of South Asia?
A car breaks down in the middle of the night. The bus slowly rolled out on a street. It was pitch black, for a moment it was very quiet, and then the blackness was filled with unknown noises.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?I do not know that anymore. It wasn't a conscious choice. I only remember the day when I wanted to say to myself: This is your job.
What do you like to do when you are not writing?
I read. I play squash. I take long walks.
Do you believe in writer’s block?
Not really. Thinking about or rejecting what has been written is an essential part of the writing process.
What are the nuances involved in writing a novel and a script?
They are completely different media. I would therefore not speak of nuances. It is a different craft.
