Team Bangladesh

In the capital of Bangladesh, passionate cook Sameera Hussain Wadood meets passionate illustrator Sayeef Mahmud. Together they shop at night in Dhaka's oldest and largest market – Kawran Bazar. Then, at the hip Café Mango, Sameera cooks an old family recipe: Loitta Fish Fry with steamed sticky rice. By the way, this is the first time she publishes a recipe. Have fun cooking it!

Sameera Wadood is a cyber-security engineer turned chef. Raised in a multi-cultural household, with food from India, Myanmar and Oman, her line of cooking is defined ‘Contemporary Bangladeshi Cuisine’.

is an illustrator based in Dhaka. Currently working as the Visual Lead for Her Story Foundation. Inspired by the architecture of the city and wonders of science fiction and fantasy. Sayeef started working professionally in 2016. Besides the day job, he works as a freelance storyboard artist and editorial illustrator.
