Assistant for Communication & Library Projects

The Goethe-Institut Bangladesh is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant for Communication and Library Projects (full time) to join our team from September 2026. In this role, you will work closely with the Coordinator for Communication and Library Projects, supporting communication activities, library programmes, and related projects. Applicants with a background in Journalism, Communication, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Illustration, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

WE OFFER:

  • Gain hands-on experience in the work of the Goethe-Institut’s Communication and Library Projects.
  • Support communication activities, library programmes, cultural events, and digital projects.
  • Contribute to content creation for the Goethe-Institut’s website and social media channels.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of events, campaigns, and community engagement activities.
  • Work in an international and dynamic cultural environment.

WE EXPECT:

  • Good knowledge of digital media and communication trends in Bangladesh.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop and implement ideas.
  • Very good command of Bengali and English.
  • Affinity for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Advanced skills in graphic design and content creation, with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and/or video editing tools.
  • Experience in managing social media content and creating engaging visual materials for digital platforms.
  • Willingness to complete routine administrative tasks.
  • Flexibility and a proactive working style.
  • An open, friendly, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office, design/illustration software, and Zoom.

DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of max. two A4 pages in English, including a recent photograph.
  • Motivation letter of max. one A4 page in English.
  • Academic certificates.
  • Portfolio and/or proof of relevant experience in communication, content creation, graphic design, illustration, social media management, event management, or related fields.
