Joint celebration of the German institutions in Montreal
We are pleased to invite you to the
Christmas party organized jointly by the German institutions in Montreal, which will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Goethe-Institut. Over
mulled wine, Christmas cookies and carols we will
celebrate together and mark the end of this year.
The
Goethe-Institut and the
Canadian Centre for German and European Studies invite you to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with
(moving) images from the
Open Memory Box, a vast archive of home movies from East Germany, a country that has disappeared but where people knew how to party! The clips
"DDR-Jahresendefiguren" will then be projected on the windows of the Goethe-Institut until January 31, 2023, every evening after sunset until midnight.
You will also be able to
sing along with us some great German Christmas classics, as we will have the great pleasure of welcoming the
Da Capo Ensemble, which will be on site with 8 choristers, accompanied by a string quartet.
In addition, we will invite you to participate in one of three 20-minute
Fröbel star-making workshops.
1st workshop: 5:00 p.m. l 2nd workshop: 5:30 p.m. l 3rd workshop: 6:30 p.m.
