Be welcome to join our Advanced Readers Bookclub B2+!
We will be reading two books this fall and discussing their content in a fun and interactive setting with other German language learners and one of our teachers.

How does it work? You should lend or buy the ebook/audio book and either read or listen to it before our meeting. Think of three questions you would like to discuss with others regarding the content of the story.

Text: "Krabat" by Otfried Preußler

The fourteen-year-old orphan boy Krabat begins an apprenticeship as a miller. But his master is a sorcerer who instructs his twelve apprentices in black magic. Krabat finds out that every year one of the boys has to die in order for the old master to stay alive. Only the love of a girl can free the boys from the hand of the master.

Otfried Preußler's book for young people based on an old Sorbian legend has been awarded numerous international prizes and is a fascinating read for young people and adult language learners alike.
