In this experimental film the American video artist Shelly Silver sends a group of girls through the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig (MdbK). The girls are between 7 and 19 years old; the pictures span from the 16th century to the present. In front of individual works, the girls explain what they see. Through the comments of her protagonists, Shelly Silver is able to illustrate how social values are changing, and how the perception of the female presence has already evolved. Recurring themes include power and gender roles, and the predominantly male gaze of the artists also leads to criticism. Not only is the approach to art extraordinarily invigorating, it also immediately awakens one's desire to also go to the museum.
