A drama about a dedicated young lawyer in Germany in the late 1950s who wants to launch an investigation against a former Auschwitz guard, currently working as a teacher. Chief Public Prosecutor Fritz Bauer is the only person who supports his curiosity. He has also wanted to shed light on the crimes committed there for a long time, but still lacks the evidence needed to charge the perpetrators.
