Call for Papers
The meeting of the Canadian Association of Teachers of German takes place from 2-4 February 2018 in Montreal under the theme "DACH: where German is at home-learning German against the background of social, personal and technical diversity".
The directorate calls for proposals on practical workshops and lectures dealing with the subject.
This Conference will devote itself to the term “DACH” and provide a platform for discussion on different aspects of this topic. The exchange of questions and solutions will take place within the framework of workshops and lectures and may include the following areas:
— Regional studies
— Specific language differences
— Politics in DACH countries and their teaching in the DAF class
— Multicultural learning groups and DACH
— Daf Learning beyond Teaching
— The digitisation of German learning on the subject of DACH
— Cooperation between schools
— Universities and Saturdays schools
— Representation of DACH in diploma tests and exams
This topic addresses DAF teachers and school leaders of all types of schools and should collect strategies and tips that can be adapted for all age and school levels.
In order to enable a fair selection process, please formulate your abstract (about 200-300 words) in Word format so that it does not contain your name, and specify in your e-mail title, name, school/university and contact address. Your description should make it clear whether you want to conduct a workshop or give a lecture, and what conference participants will learn. The proposal may be written in German, English or French; However, the lecture or workshop itself should be held in the German language. Please send your proposal to:
