How will I recognise a revolution?
Dance|Choreography: Hanna Sybille Müller
-
Édifice Wilder – Espace danse, Montréal
- Price $ 20 - $ 28
Thursday, February 22 to Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
As part of the winter season of Tangente
You are seated in a circle of spectators. The dancer, revolving, welcomes you. Rooted in somatic practices, the performance draws from political, celestial and physical revolutions, and unfurls from a turning body on a revolving planet. While the performer turns dizzily, she cycles through ideas gleaned from her interviews on revolution with a political scientist, a mathematician, a revolutionary, and a dervish dancer. It’s a dance-lecture about things that turn, repeat and change… or not. A writer, a dancer, a visual artist, and several audience members join the performer. After all, revolution entails a radical change.
