An absurd crime film. A black comedy.
It is a terrible massacre: Hun horsemen storm the small town of Anröchte and behead people indiscriminately. The next day, Inspector Konka and his assistant Walter appear to solve the case.
At first, the mayor claims to know nothing about the murders. He does not want to endanger his Anröchte as a tourist magnet. Witness statements lead to a weekly spectacle of the village youth. There are several arrests there, but no evidence of the Hun riders. Even the forensics department in Dortmund cannot help with their investigations. The confession of a suspect arrested by the local police is obviously staged. A little later he is found dead - also decapitated.

All the clues lead nowhere. Konka's attempt to determine the motive of the Hun riders fails. He realises: In a world in which murders occur randomly and without meaning, one does not have to determine motives, but arrest the perpetrator. Konka and Walter set out on their journey.
