The Wavelength Monthly Series is back in Toronto with its first “normal” show of the year, a night of boundary-pushing musical exploration starring Berlin duo hackedepicciotto and Toronto balladeer Teagan Johnston.
hackedepicciotto are Alexander Hacke (bassist of industrial / noise-rock legends Einstürzende Neubauten) and Danielle De Picciotto. For their first tour in Canada since 2009, they’ll be promoting their sixth and latest album, the noisy, droney, beautiful The Silver Threshold.
Opening the evening is singer-songwriter Teagan Johnston, whose debut album Sentimental Ballad is a heartfelt collection of tender, piano-driven alt-pop ballads drawing on a life of globetrotting and artistic exploration.
