Steffen Mau
(born: 31.10.1948 in Rostock), Sociologist, Author
Steffen Mau studied Sociology and Political Science in Berlin. He received his doctorate from the European University Institute in Florence and is Professor of Macrosociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He is also a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. His research interests include social inequality, trans-nationalisation, European integration and migration. His book Lütten Klein, published in 2019, addresses the transformation of society in eastern Germany.
