Course participants will decide together on which literary texts you wish to focus on. You will interpret the texts together, give short presentations and research relevant topics, during which there will always be time to discuss culture, politics, and history. In Term 1, 2026, we will be discussing „Der Zauberberg“ by Thomas Mann.

Our course deals with a broad array of topics: from current political developments, literature, art and science to new cultural trends in Germany.
