On this page we will inform you about the dates and locations of the Career Roadshows 2023.
The career days are aimed at pupils and university students. Both groups will be given different time slots on the day to ensure that there is a dedicated focus on their different interests and requirements. We will offer a mixture of presentations, workshops and information stalls, for example:
Participants will gain an insight into the study system in Germany and learn about the campaign 'Study in Germany' and 'MyGuide'.
Participants have the opportunity to gain an insight into the German language and learn their first German words and phrases.
Participants learn the main differences between applications in the UK and Germany as well as German vocabulary that is important in the application process.
Participants learn how to better assess their strengths and weaknesses and how to use this for their career choices as well as German vocabulary related to strengths and weaknesses.
Alumnae/alumni talk about their German studies/life and studies in Germany, Q&A with participants
Participants learn about the differences between German and British culture, stereotypes and how to act and think in a culturally sensitive way.
You can also expect many other exciting programme highlights. For example:
- Ted Talks/Company Slams with companies
- Raffle with fabolous prizes
- Roundtable/Networking for teachers
- Information session from local university on study opportunities with German
- Information session by German (partner) university on study opportunities for international students

The Career Roadshow UK is organised by the Goethe-Instituts London and Glasgow in cooperation with the partner organisations DAAD, UK-German Connection, the German Embassy London, the German Consulate General Edinburgh and the German-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
