What career opportunities can open up when you learn German at school or university? The online edition of the Career Roadshows highlights just how diverse and relevant German can be for both personal and professional development.

Participants can look forward to a varied and engaging programme featuring:
  • interactive workshops
  • inspiring panel discussions
  • short talks
  • a virtual careers fair with the chance to speak directly with companies and institutions
The event is designed for students aged 14 and above, as well as university learners from across Europe. The aim is to inspire young people to learn German by showing them the real-world value of the language in professional life.

Registration
There are two ways to take part:
  1. Registration for school groups – ideal for classes or groups joining together on a shared device.
  2. Registration for individuals – for participants joining independently on their own device.

Information for teachers
  • The event is suitable for learners aged 14 and above. Sessions will be offered in both German and English. No specific level of German is required to participate.
  • Participation is flexible – join for the full day or just selected sessions.
  • The event will take place via Zoom Events. To join, participants will need a Zoom account, an internet-enabled device with speakers and a screen, and ideally a microphone and camera.
  • All technical details, the programme, and a participation guide will be provided in advance after registration.
  • The content is easy to integrate into lessons – for example, as part of career orientation or to boost motivation for learning German.
