Are you interested in German language and culture? Would you like to gain hands-on experience in an international cultural institution? Join us for a one-week work experience programme at the Goethe-Institut London and explore the work of our language and educational services departments.

What to Expect
Together with other participants, you will:
  • Learn about the Goethe-Institut’s mission and departments
  • Shadow administrative tasks in the language course office
  • Support event planning and promotional activities
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to a mini-project
  • Immerse yourself in a (mainly) German-speaking working environment
  • Working hours:10:00–16:00 daily
Requirements
  • Target group: secondary school students (Y11-13) or university student in the UK
  • Liability Insurance: You must be insured by your school/university or provide written confirmation of parental responsibility for the duration of the placement.
  • Language Skills: Solid German skills (minimum B1 level) are required.
  • Own Device: Please bring a laptop or tablet for daily tasks.
  • Accommodation: For students living outside London, we offer a free double room at the Goethe-Institut. This is available on a first-come, first-served basis and only for students accompanied by a parent or guardian.
