The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, celebrates annual German festival “Namaste Deutschland” for all German learners from Delhi NCR in collaboration with the Delhi Public School Society on 29.11.2025 at Delhi Public School, Sector 45, Gurgaon.
Namaste Deutschland is our annual festival to celebrate the German language and culture. A colourful programme of exhibitions, workshops, competitions, info sessions, film screenings and much more is dedicated to a specific theme each year. The festival is aimed at all German learners at our partner schools.
This year’s theme, “Reise durch DACH” (Journey through the DACH Region), invites students to explore the rich cultural diversity, traditions, landscapes, and stories of German-speaking countries. Through creative activities, performances, and interactive sessions, participants will embark on a cultural journey that brings the German language to life.
The festival was aimed at all German learners and teachers at our partner schools.
The festival features a vibrant mix of activities, including:
- Workshops: From folk dance, baking, theater, comics, poetry slam, to travel guide creation, there was something exciting for everyone.
- Competitions: The German learners eagerly competed in various competitions like Treasure hunt, German dance, escape room, tongue twisters, quiz rally, spell bee, and more and show their talent
- Exhibition Stalls: Creative student-led displays on culture, landmarks, history, and personalities from the DACH region.
- Plenary Events: Info-session on higher studies in Germany, film screening, and a gaming corner.
Together, the program offers a dynamic and immersive experience, strengthening German learning through fun, creativity, and cultural exploration.
