Ramanathan Parilojithan utilized his seed grant to shed light on garbage and medical waste being dumped in and along the lagoons of Batticaloa.

The pictures below particularly document the medical waste of the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital being disposed into the lagoon, the general waste issue in public spaces in this area and the increasing problem of plastic and e-waste being dumped into the lagoon.
