This year’s World Mental Health Day’s global theme is “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies”. Communities in Myanmar are navigating many layers of difficulty, including social, economic, and environmental challenges. Mental health support is needed more than ever, yet access to services remains limited.

To mark World Mental Health Day 2025, Goethe-Institut Myanmar and the Academy of Care (AoC), together with Foundation for Arts and Health India (FAHI), Doh Eain, Young City Shapers, FIN Myanmar, Kalasa Art Space, The Heal With Art and other partners, are hosting a three-day program Stronger Together: Collective Recovery and Creative Care In Crisis.

The program will highlight the urgent need for safe spaces, psychosocial support, and creative approaches to resilience in times of crisis.

Participants will engage in:
  • panel discussions with experts and practitioners
  • creative arts workshops led by AoC alumni and facilitators
  • playful, interactive spaces for the children and public
This series of events aims at opening dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and showcasing how art, music, drama and play can support healing and recovery in challenging environments, and with a focus on trauma-informed care.
