KinoFest Prelude #4 with MINT College

As part of KinoFest Prelude, Goethe-Institut invites film students from MINT College to an afternoon of German cinema featuring Circusboy (2025), a hybrid documentary-animation film by Julia Lemke and Anna Koch.

The film follows eleven-year-old Santino, who grows up in a circus family and shares a close friendship with his 80-year-old great-grandfather, one of Europe’s last great circus directors. Together, they share stories of friendship, farewells, new beginnings, and life on the road. Through Santino’s experiences, Circusboy offers an intimate look at life among a circus family and animals, and at the freedom, challenges, and unique sense of community that come with growing up on the road.

Registration is not required. This event is exclusively open to film students at MINT College through walk-ins facilitated by the college.
