Shamim Meer

Shamim Meer is a feminist activist researcher, writer and writing coach. She was a co-founder of publications SPEAK and Agenda in the 1980s when she worked alongside working class women in community organisations and trade unions. Since 1994 she has worked with organisations addressing land rights, the rights of women workers, and violence against women, among other social justice issues, and she has written on these issues.
