Goethe-Institut Bangladesh, in cooperation with local partner UN women, presents a film screening through online platform with a panel discussion.

About the film:

This documentary portrays the population settled in the village of Aagaswadi located in Satara district on the hills of Mann in Maharasthra, India, and their confrontation with drought and other adversities, as well as relations affected by it. With neither sufficient drinking water nor irrigation facilities, out of desperation, Bhimrao digs a well to quench his own as well as his farm’s thirst during a drought, around which the film revolves.

Ms. Keya Khan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC)
Ms. Dilruba Haider, Programme Specialist- Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, and Humanitarian Action, UN Women

The event will be moderated by Dr. Samiya Selim, Director and Associate Professor, Center for Sustainable Development, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh.
