For our project “Kultur-Sofa”, the Goethe-Institut Belgium invites authors, comic artists and illustrators to present themselves and their work during a livestream on the Instagram channel of the Goethe-Institut Belgium. The artists are free to choose how they fill this period. We are delighted to welcome the Patrick Jordens (Tiptoe Print) on 07.10.2020!

BIO
My love for picture books and children's literature in general originated and grew by being a critic for the newspaper De Morgen for about 13 years.
I started my professional career at the Beursschouwburg and BRONKS where I worked as a theatre pedagogue and dramaturge.
Later, I helped to start up and develop the ART BASICS for CHILDREN (ABC) art education lab. After that I worked as an editor for Brussels Deze Week (now BRUZZ) where I was mainly responsible for the children's newspaper "Zazie".
In recent years, I have been working part-time as a project coordinator for the organisation MUS-E Belgium.
TIPTOE Print officially started in the summer of 2018, the first books appeared just under a year later.

TIPTOE Print wants to make high-quality picture and picture books from other languages and cultures available to a Dutch-speaking audience. For everyone from 2 to 92 years old, and with framing activities for even more viewing and reading pleasure.
