On 6 November, we were delighted to invite guests to the opening of the first exhibition in the foyer of the Goethe-Institut Brussels. Together with the artist, we were finally able to bring our foyer to life.

Simultaneously to her four-week residency at MORPHO Antwerp, Goethe-Institut Brussels is presenting selected works by the Düsseldorf-based comic artist Nadine Redlich at its premises.
Known for her subtle humour, the artist uses just a few lines to condense emotions, moods and observations of everyday life into pithy miniatures full of warmth and wit. Crying apples, talking stones and anthropomorphic figures hover between lightness, melancholy and existential depth.
The presented works will include pieces from the inimitable series Doing the Work (2024) and Paniktotem (2016), which invite you to look at seagulls, spoons and bananas from an entirely new perspective.
