"Silent Heroes" by Hera and Friends

Silent Heroes

Street artist Jasmin Siddiqui / Hera from Frankfurt am Main and the Mexican artists HeraGraff, Tomer Linaje and Óscar Axo had more time than expected in Mexico City due to canceled festivals and events on their trip through Central America to Mexico. “Thanks to” and in view of the Covid-19 crisis, they created a mural in Mexico City in the parking lot of the Goethe-Institut Mexico that leaves nothing to be desired. Image elements from Mexican myths, German fairy tales and characters significant to our times find each other in a melancholic visual language.

Our true heroes are the silent little helpers, their strength lies not in action, but in serenity and deliberate prudence

A sentence that keeps reminding many of us to critically examine our lives these days with one big goal in mind: get through this!
We are infinitely grateful to the artists.
