Join Kimberley Demagny, award-winning cultural strategist and founder of arTech Education and Caribeart, for the workshop "The impact of technologies on the practices of contemporary Caribbean artists". With over 10 years' experience and successful cultural projects in the Caribbean, she will share her expertise on the new possibilities offered by technologies and how artists and cultural professionals can use them to create and tell their own stories.
The workshop will present an overview of Caribbean creations integrating technology, then explore how artists can develop their own narratives, far from the dominant Western models, while reflecting on issues linked to algorithmic bias, inclusivity and the conditions of artistic production in the region.
