This free and open “Anderson Nook” in our Media Salon invites you to browse a collection of books, screenplays, and inspirations including Austrian author Stefan Zweig's writings that reveal the creative process behind Anderson’s distinctive storytelling and Babelsberg’s century-long role in German film history. From The Grand Budapest Hotel to the animated Isle of Dogs to The French Dispatch and the latest The Phoenician Scheme, discover how tradition and innovation converge in the art of filmmaking.

Whether you’re a film enthusiast, student, or curious explorer, thisreadingroomoffers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in everything Anderson as we are presenting our GOETHE FILMS fall series “Wes Anderson, Made in Babelsberg” with TIFF Cinematheque and Cinespace Studios, the award-winning North American studio group that bought Studio Babelsberg in 2022.

This special edition of GOETHE FILMS, the Goethe-Institut Toronto’s signature film program at the TIFF Lightbox, is a collaboration with Cinespace Studios x Studio Babelsberg and part of TIFF Cinematheque's winter program.
