The Goethe-Institut Toronto is proud to host an evening with Cheluchi Onyemelukwe-Onuobia in conversation with Lee Suksi.

Shortlisted for the Giller Prize, Onyemelukwe-Onuobia's novel, "The Son of the House", tells the story of two women from very different backgrounds who come together through a kidnapping.

"The Son of the House uncovers crucial dimensions of women’s lived experiences in postcolonial Africa. Cheluchi Onyemelukwe-Onuobia is among this generation of women writers redefining womanhood. Her work further challenges female invisibility in Africa." ---Olongo Africa
