Language Show Live returns October 2017 as an event for people passionate about languages.

Free to attend, it's your opportunity to join over 10,000 language learners, teachers, translators, linguists, jobseekers and language professionals for three extraordinary days.
It’s a chance to sample the latest language products, experience different cultures and discover a lot of opportunities to improve your language skills.

There's a unique line-up of speakers, exhibitors, classes, seminars and networking opportunities to satisfy every language enthusiast.
You can visit the fair during the following opening times:
Friday, 13. October: 10am - 6pm
Saturday, 14. October: 10am - 6pm
Sunday, 15. October: 10am - 4pm

Seminars
In addition to our stand we also offer two seminars for teachers. To participate you have to pay a £10 rate. Afterwards you can visit as many seminars as you like.

Teaching and assessment by using digital components in the primary classroom
Friday, 13 October 2017, 15:15 – 16:45, room 1
 
Loads of digital materials but just consuming is not good enough. This session will introduce hands-on activities and some useful guidelines for teachers when embedding digital components into language lessons. Apps like THE LANGUAGE MAGICIAN and other digital tools will be presented with examples in German and Spanish. Teachers of other languages are welcome.
 
 
The Secret of success: Four skills plus three – a holistic approach for learning languages at primary school level 
Saturday, 14 October 2017, 15:15 – 16:45, room 3
 
In this workshop, teachers will discover how the development of the four skills and three other important features in language learning: intercultural learning, literacy and thinking skills can complement each other. Examples from Deutsch mit Felix & Franzi and Deutsch mit Karla & Kai. Teachers of all languages welcome.

Travel Allowance
We offer a £200 GBP travel allowance for active German primary or secondary school teachers living more than 50 miles away from London to make it possible for them to attend our seminars at the language show. A limited number of grants is available.  
The travel allowance will be transferred after event. Seminar attendance is a requirement for receiving the allowance and it is therefore necessary to register with us at our stand at the Language Show Live.

German Classes with the Goethe-Institut:
The Goethe-Institut offers three opportunities for complete beginners to get a taste of German. Everyone is welcome to join us for 1.5h and we guarantee we will have you speaking German in no time!
