Professional development DLL 6: DaF Curriculum standards and lesson planning

DLL6: Curriculare Vorgaben und Unterrichtsplanung © Goethe-Institut

Tue, 24.10.2023 -
Fri, 22.12.2023

Online

Planning lessons is one of the core activities of teachers, but it is heavily influenced by external factors. These factors include, for example, language policy frameworks that lessons must be part of, standards that should be achieved, and curricula that must be followed. Perceptions of what makes a good teacher and how teacher can promote language learning also affect lesson planning.

Unit 6 of the Deutsch Lehren Lernen series explores the following questions and more:
  • How can lessons be planned systematically on the basis of learning objectives?
  • What does lesson planning that takes into account curricular requirements and current teaching methods look like?
HOW AND WHEN?

Blended learning with:
  1. Continuous online phase on the Goethe-Institut learning platform and
  2. 4 x live online sessions, each lasting 90 to 120 minutes. The exact dates and times for the sessions will be decided together with you and the DLL trainers at the beginning of the course.
