Welcome to the small town of Bollersville, the most ‘average’ town in Germany. Its inhabitants are desperate to stay as normal as possible, and if that involves moving all grandparents into a care home to maintain the statistical average, then so be it! It’s up to a small band of children and their lovable South American pet coati, Fiddlesticks, to save the day, and so the ‘Coati Gang’ embark on an action-packed adventure to rescue their relatives. Blending the zany antics of Laurel and Hardy with blockbuster mayhem, this colourful family comedy is a real treat for all ages.

School Screenings

We’re delighted to be screening two films for schools as part of Fokus: Films from Germany. Film is increasingly being recognized by teachers as a valuable tool that can be used to motivate and engage pupils in the classroom, and is particularly useful for modern language teaching. Showing children films from the world beyond Hollywood also helps to broaden pupils’ minds, and encourages a love of international cinema.

Fiddlestick, a colourful film about a gang of kids that safe their grandparents from being relegated to a retirement home, is suitable for P4-S3.
