Join us in the library to help challenge Wikipedia’s gender gap!

It’s no secret that the gender bias is as present on Wikipedia as it is anywhere else; the platform has fewer and less extensive articles on women than on men. Join us to help to right (and write) this wrong by creating and adding to articles about women writers and authors of marginalised genders.

Don’t worry if you’ve never edited Wikipedia before – Sara Thomas of Wikimedia UK will be guiding us through the process.

Please bring your own laptop (and laptop charger!) and make sure that you create a Wikipedia account before the event. Training will be given on the day, but if you'd like to learn a little about editing Wikipedia before the event, here's a good tutorial.

Refreshments will be provided.
