Returning to London cinemas with its 32nd edition, Raindance Film Festival will again bring a wide variety of independent films to London audiences. What's special this year is that the festival has teamed up with German Films to present a focus on German cinema. It is a significant year for Munich-based German Films, who have been promoting Germany's cinema achievements since 1954 and hence are celebrating their 70th anniversary this year.
With Germany being as the festival's Guest of Honour, we can look foward to an interesting showcase of German cinema that includes opening gala Cuckoo plus key festival titles Eternal You, Falling Into Place, It’s Burning, What You See Of Me. There will also be a special screening of acclaimed Oscar nominated and Palme d’Or winning The White Ribbon, followed by a masterclass with German actor Christian Friedel, who only recently attracted much attention as the male lead in The Zone of Interest.
