It’s 1990 and as German reunification looms, a trio of friends find a trove of soon-to-be worthless banknotes and hatch a get-rich-quick scheme.
"Anatomy of A Fall" and "Toni Erdmann" star Sandra Hüller joins the ensemble cast of this heartfelt comedy. It’s 1990, and the reunification of East and West Germany is looming; the old East German currency is about to become worthless. When friends Maren, Robert, and Volker stumble upon a trove of notes, they hatch an elaborate scheme with their neighbours to capitalise on the find. Natja Brunckhorst expertly creates characters you can invest in to light-heartedly explore the clash between capitalist greed and socialism through the prism of family and friendship.
