Join us for the next session of our book club to discuss (in German) the book Schallplattensommer by Alina Bronsky. New members welcome!

ABOUT THE BOOK

As the only young woman within a thirteen-kilometre radius, Maserati is used to attention. But she only wants one thing: to serve her grandmother's homemade lemonade to holiday guests and count down the days until she comes of age. She wants nothing to do with love, and even less with the advances of the sons of the wealthy family who has just bought the villa in the village. But then Caspar and Theo start asking forbidden questions: Why doesn't Maserati have a smartphone? What is she so afraid of? And how is it that her face appears on the cover of an old record? Suddenly, Maserati finds herself entangled in the secrets of two families and her own confused feelings.
