End-of-Term - Winter Celebration of Language, Books, and Creativity

Join us on Saturday, 29 November 2025 in the Library of the Goethe-Institut London for our End of Term Winter Fair — a festive afternoon dedicated to creativity, connection, and the joy of learning languages.

Programme Highlights

Win a free German course! - Language Learning Showcase Competition (2:15 PM – 4:00 PM)

Share your personal journey with language learning in imaginative ways — through an object, artwork, video, or another creative format. A jury will select the most inspiring entries:

• First Prize: A fully funded German course in Germany (including flights and accommodation)
• Second Prize: A free German course at the Goethe-Institut London

To participate, please register by Friday, 21 November 2025 via email at german-uk@goethe.de.

Please indicate if you require any materials (e.g. flip chart, pin wall, screen).

Secondhand German Book Sale (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Browse and buy ex-library German books and discover new literary gems to take home.

Creative Children’s Corner (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Families are warmly invited. Children can enjoy crafting colourful pompoms and exploring children’s books. Our teacher will be present to answer all your questions on our course offers for children and teens.

Winter Refreshments - Mulled Wine and Biscuits (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

Hot mulled wine and biscuits will be available as you browse and share in the festive spirit.
