Multimedia workshop by KREUSER/CAILLEAU

In their transdisciplinary project The Interests Are At Stake, artist duo Kreuser/Cailleau explore the imagery and sounds of money.

The workshop is open for everyone working or interested in the fields of music, arts, film and performance, curious about an experimental approach to sound and image and the combination of those two.

KREUSER/CAILLEAU introduce their artistic method of working and guide the participants to create their own performances and works. In their artistic practice, KREUSER/CAILLEAU depart from found non-artistic subjects, objects and contexts, which they build installations, machines, and audio-visual performances from.

Single participants are as welcome as already existing groups. The final duo formations will be established during the workshop. The participants are invited to bring as much of their own equipment as possible, that they would like to present or work with, even though they have no clear idea yet what to do with it.

KREUSER/CAILLEAU is a duo project of German composer Timo Kreuser and French filmmaker Guillaume Cailleau. Their fetish is approaching objects as container of signifying function, generalized meaning and sociocultural contexts. By ignoring the primary features of things, and instead focusing on the potential of the object itself as sonic and visual stimulator, meaning gets moulded into new contexts and the original understanding of it is undermined.

With their latest project The Interests Are At Stake they tour South East Asia in January and February 2020.

Interested participants are required to register with a short profile in English language until 26.01.2020 via: info@ethnictro.com
