Placement test
Test your german
Children: We offer to meet new students together with their parents before the start of the course at the institute on a Saturday (tbc) in September 2026. You will get to know the teachers and our teaching concept and we can place your children in the most suitable course.
Young Learners: We ask new students to enquire about our regular assessment test. A short oral interview with a teacher is part of this test.
Children learn German in selected small groups in a playful way and without pressure. Our courses are aimed at children and young learners aged 4 to 12.
Learning German made easy. We offer classes for ages 4-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years and 10-12 years.
The classes are suitable for pre-school and primary school children who already speak a little German, as well as for beginners. Each child is supported according to their language level. We like to get to know new students with their parents before placing them in the most suitable course.
The children develop basic German skills by exploring different topics through lively and stimulating activities such as role play, stories, games, singing and dancing.
Sessions cover topics related to the calendar, such as seasons, dates, months, days of the week, daily routines and time, cross-cultural celebrations such as Carnival, Halloween, St Martin's Day and Christmas, practical topics such as clothing, weather, road safety, cooking and baking, as well as interesting topics such as favourite foods, films, hobbies, sports, circus, animals and nature.
Depending on their age, and in addition to improving and strengthening the children's communicative skills, the course focuses on either developing or improving the children's reading and writing skills.
Our native-speaking teachers are experienced in working with children and apply the communicative approach to ensure that each child has sufficient opportunity to speak German.
Learn and play in German! Children enjoy exciting projects, arts and crafts and fun games at our camps. Courses are designed for the language levels advanced beginner as well as billinguals, aged 5-14 years.
Our Young Learners Courses are suitable for young learners from the age of 11-14 who have lived in a German speaking country or have a German speaking parent.
In this course, the young learners experience lively and methodically varied German lessons that give them the opportunity to use the German language in interactive and varied exercises.
The course places special emphasis on the active use of the language to enable participants to talk about everyday topics relevant to them and to prepare them for confident use of the language in future professional situations.
The course is based on a modern textbook that takes into account the interests of the young target group.
FYI: There will be no classes during school breaks.
