Open Call: International Artist Residencies at Westwerk, Hamburg

The Ministry of Culture and Media of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is launching an Open Call for eight three-month residencies for international artists at Westwerk, Hamburg for 2027 and 2028.
Professional international solo artists aged 23 or older residing outside of Germany working in the fields of visual arts and photography who are interested in Hamburg’s cultural scene and wish to build a cultural network in Hamburg are invited to apply for the residencies.

The closing date for applications is 27 August 2026.

Culture Moves Europe

Culture Moves Europe supports international cultural mobility between 40 Creative Europe countries. Funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut, it is open to artists and cultural professionals from the sectors of architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts.
