Sunder Sarukkai ist Professor für Philosophie am National Institute of Advanced Studies in Bangalore. Er war von 2010 bis 2015 Gründungsdirektor des Manipal Centre for Philosophie & Humanities der Manipal University, Indien. Er ist der Autor der folgenden Bücher: Translating the World: Science and Language, Philosophy of Symmetry, Indian Philosophy and Philosophy of Science, What is Science? und The Cracked Mirror: An Indian Debate on Experience and Theory (mit Gopal Guru). Er ist Mitglied des Redaktionsbeirats der Leonardo Book Series zu Wissenschaft und Kunst, herausgegeben von MIT Press, und Herausgeber der Reihe Science and Technologie Studies von Routledge.
