Travelling Exhibition
 Critical Zones Mumbai

The travelling exhibition was conceived and first exhibited at ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, Germany (2020-2022) based on a concept by Bruno Latour and Peter Weibel. The original exhibition has been adapted for the local audiences in a close dialogue between the curators, art mediators, and the participating Goethe-Instituts. Each station will include further dialogues and co-creative moments to investigate and analyse what are issues of importance for each particular location, its Critical Zone, and its inhabitants.

Exhibition Walkthrough

In this video, co-curator, Mira Hirtz from the ZKM, Karlsruhe will take us for a special curatorial walk through the exhibition in Mumbai.

We, the exhibition organizers, artists, and local action groups, would like to embark on a journey of discovery with you. Critical Zones. In Search of a Common Ground invites you to find undiscovered kinships and unexpected interlocutors - and to reposition yourself maybe within the overall fabric of the "critical zone". This picture gallery will give you a first glimpse of this journey.
