From 23rd to 25th August 2024 in Pune, the Seed Stories Symposium brought together farmers, conservationists, and artists to showcase efforts preserving indigenous seeds and the surrounding cultural heritage.

Seed Stories Symposium

By weaving together science, culture, and art, the Seed Stories Symposium illustrated the indispensable link between seeds and cultural identity. From indigenous seed savers and community-driven seed banks to creative storytelling and poetic reflections, each session reinforced the idea that preserving biodiversity is not just an environmental imperative but also a means of safeguarding heritage and collective memory. As the symposium came to a close, participants left inspired to carry forward the seed stories shared over these three days—stories of resilience, dedication, and hope for a future where local seeds and culture flourish side by side.
