As an alternative to studying, you can also complete a two- to three-year vocational training course in Germany. Au Pair

As an au pair, you live directly with a family in Germany for six to twelve months. You have the opportunity to improve your language skills and get to know the traditions and culture of the host country. To be allowed to work as an au pair in Germany, you must be at least 18 years old and not older than 26 at the time of your application. For free board, lodging and pocket money, you can help your host family with light housework and looking after the children. Volunteering
