Summer at last! At the Goethe-Institut, that means unpacking the big screen, hanging it outside in the backyard, and enjoying entertaining German films together on mild summer evenings. Every Wednesday at 8:00 PM in August.

This year, we are taking you on a road trip- it’s what summer is all about, right? The journey is the destination. Our Sommerkino Films take an East German couple to the strange new world of West Germany (Adam & Eveyln), an investment banker to Switzerland where he hides his illicit money (The Goldfish), a mother and son embark on a bitter-sweet journey to  a renowned clinic for physical therapy (My Son) and and finally we follow Alexander von Humboldt on his journey around the globe as he’s Measuring the World.
All these road trips lead to life-changing experiences for our heroes - enjoy the ride!
As always: Admission is free. The films will be shown in German with English subtitles. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our open air theatre in the Goethe-Institut's backyard at 170 Back Street. Feel free to bring friends, snacks, and beverages.
