The International Visitors Programme
Information and network tours give visitors a special, authentic experience of Germany. The Goethe-Institut International Visitors Programme develops tailored, thematically diverse visitors programmes and digital encounter formats for international multipliers on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office and other clients.
No matter whether a tour lasts three days or two weeks or whether it is a thematic tour with guests from around the world, a trilateral encounter and networking tour or a regional information tour, the Visitors Programme Team always works to the highest standards.
- Experienced programme coordinators develop customised programme contents for visitors tours and encounter programmes and implement them reliably with attention to detail.
- Our cooperation with a broad network of experts and partners gives international guests special insights and lasting contacts, and offers opportunities for future cooperation.
- Adept travel experts organise your arrival and departure, as well as taking care of your accommodation, transport and meals.
- Visitor groups are accompanied by knowledgeable, competent programme facilitators with good linguistic skills.
- Our ongoing quality and evaluation management measures the tours’ success and guarantees their quality.
The Visitors Programme is equally competent when commissioned to organise and moderate innovative digital and hybrid formats, such as conferences, thematic encounters and youth exchange formats. Our offerings include:
- top-notch hybrid and digital exchange and encounter formats (with the option of regional elements produced in advance or played live), to supplement visitors tours or as a stand-alone offering,
- planning and moderation of the contents of digital and interactive conferences,
- and innovative digital youth exchange formats.
The target groups of our tours are international multipliers, including many journalists. Specifically, they comprise the following categories:
- multipliers and experts from German Embassy networks
- Goethe-Institut partners and decision-makers in the fields of cultural and language policy
- selected target groups and partners of the foundations and ministries
- guests of the European Union Visitors Programme
- self-payers in the framework of thematic group tours
Thematically, the visitors tours and encounter programmes are wide-ranging and provide differentiated information on current focal political, social and cultural topics in Berlin and throughout Germany:
- climate policy and climate change
- feminism and gender equality
- media competence and diversity of opinion
- water management and ecology
- remembrance policy
- documenta, Theatertreffen, Berlinale
- the dual system of vocational education and training
- the German education system
