The bangaloREsidency programme has been conceived as a long-term collaboration between the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore and various innovative and discerning contemporary art/cultural spaces and partners in Bangalore.The bangaloREsidency@Sangam House is designed for writers who have published to some acclaim but have not yet enjoyed substantial commercial success. Sangam House seeks to give writers a chance to build a solid and influential network of personal and professional relationships that can deepen their own work, in effect, expanding and diversifying literature.

Conditions of Funding

Writers and translators living and working in Germany

The bangaloREsidency@Sangam House 2025 will take place from January 2 to 30.

The cost of return economy flights, and room and board for the duration of the residency are covered.

Writers and translators are selected through an open call.
