This project is Novoflot’s artistic voice in times of paralysis and speechlessness, offering a way to imagine new utopian fields through music-theatrical dialogue amid global crises. Speaking politically is complicated; true togetherness even more so. This is a first attempt!
For its Athens world premiere, the Berlin opera company Novoflot returns to the Greek National Opera for the first time since 2022. Together with the Dissonart Ensemble, singers and performers, international jazz soloists, and artists from the Athenian scene, they create a hybrid of music theatre, blending contemporary music and jazz, Renaissance carnival sounds and band interludes, political speeches, and world premieres by Antonis Anissegos (Greece) and Michael Wertmüller (Switzerland).
