Vagamon Writers Residency
DC Books and Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore, in collaboration with Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) 2026, invite one writer to the Vagamon Writers Residency. Applications are invited from emerging and established writers living and working in Germany.
The residency culminates in the resident’s participation in the Kerala Literature Festival, where Germany is the guest nation for the year 2026.
Conditions of funding
Applications are invited from emerging and established writers living and working in Germany, fluent in both German and English.
Covering travel, visa and accommodation costs
The Vagamon Writers Residency runs for three weeks, January 4 to January 25, 2026.
The start and the end of the Residency are fixed and cannot be negotiated.
The selected candidate will spend January 22 to January 25, 2026 in Kozhikode at the Kerala Literature Festival 2026.
