This special AU-EU course brings together high-ranking employees from institutions and organizations of the European Union and the African Union in Berlin for the first time. From diplomacy to economic cooperation and international relations, this special course will allow you to examine and discuss current events and global interdependencies from different perspectives. A special focus will be placed on the complex relationship between Africa and Europe: common challenges, historical connections and new opportunities for sustainable cooperation.
The 9-days intensive language course offers a unique setting to refresh your German skills, expand your professional network and discuss current European policy issues with colleagues. In addition to the language sessions, you will take part in official meetings at various institutions tailored to your interests and prepared within the course framework. A varied cultural program complements the experience.
Your stay in Germany is preceded by a digital preparation phase, including two mandatory live online sessions in the days before arrival and self-study assignments. This ensures optimal preparation for the in-person course and allows you to get to know the other participants in advance. The digital preparation requires approximately 4 hours of time.
