Internationale Deutscholympiade: Gold for young people from Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Slovakia

The winners of the International German Olympiad (IDO) have been announced: Marjona Ibadulayeva from Uzbekistan, Misheel Bayarbat from Mongolia and Martin Granec from Slovakia have each won in the three language levels of the competition (A2, B1 and B2). Second and third places were taken by young people from Canada, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Mexico, Uzbekistan and Georgia. The prize-giving ceremony for the competition, organised by the Goethe-Institut in collaboration with the International Association of German Teachers (IDV), took place at the Alte Feuerwache in Mannheim in the presence of representatives from the world of politics, sponsors and partners.

Internationale Deutscholympiade beginnt am 13. Juli
Jugendliche aus aller Welt feiern die deutsche Sprache in Mannheim

Unter dem Motto „ZusammenWachsen“ findet vom 13. bis 22. Juli die Internationale Deutscholympiade (IDO) statt. Über 100 Jugendliche aus 66 Ländern werden in Mannheim zum weltweit größten Wettbewerb der deutschen Sprache erwartet. Begleitet werden die Jugendlichen von Deutschlehrkräften, die vor Ort an einer Fortbildung teilnehmen. Die IDO wird alle zwei Jahre vom Goethe-Institut in Kooperation mit dem Internationalen Deutschlehrerinnen- und Deutschlehrerverband veranstaltet. In diesem Jahr feiert das Goethe-Institut sein 75. Jubiläum sowie die zehnte Ausgabe der IDO. Erstmalig wird sie in Mannheim ausgerichtet.

ZusammenWachsen“ werden über 100 Jugendliche aus 66 Ländern in Mannheim erwartet. Die Internationale Deutscholympiade (IDO) wird alle zwei Jahre vom Goethe-Institut in Kooperation mit dem Internationalen Deutschlehrerinnen- und Deutschlehrerverband veranstaltet.
